To all of our patient grooming clients, here is the update on the state of grooming here at emBARK:
We are able to open as of April 29th and begin taking grooming appointments again.
Here is what we have determined to be a fair way to get your dogs back to looking and feeling fabulous for spring.
All current appts through May will be rescheduled so that we can backtrack and schedule all the canceled appointments from the time when we were closed. If you had an appointment during our closure, we will contact you to reschedule. If you had an appointment in April or May, we will also call you to reschedule. This is a lot of emails and phone calls to get out, so realize that we will get through them, but it may take a couple of weeks.
We know this is not convenient for anyone, but we sure do appreciate your patience. We have over 200 appointments to reschedule from being closed, and were already booked into the first week of June when we closed. This may be a mess for the next month, but thank you all for being flexible and supportive. The entire grooming community in Eau Claire all feels this push, and everyone is going to be working to get everyone in for grooms before the summer begins.
Now for the details. The state order says that only one groomer can be working at a time, so we are not going to be at full capacity. We usually have three groomers on per day, so this minimizes the amount of grooming that we can do each day.
Drop-Off / Pick-Up Info
We are going to require a no-contact drop-off. You can enter the building and place your dog in the first holding pen in daycare and take their collar and leash with you. The groomers will get your dog out of the holding pen from the other side of the pen and take them into the grooming room. They will call you when your dog is done. When you arrive, they will put your dog up front in the holding pen. We will be sanitizing the front door and holding pen door throughout the day. There will be no reason for any other surface contact at drop-off or pick-up.
Payment Info
We can invoice you, you can pay over the phone, or you can leave a cash / check payment on the front counter in designated envelopes.
Late Arrivals / Pick-Ups
Due to the huge demand for grooming right now, we really need everyone to stick to their allotted appointment times. If you are 15 minutes late, we will need to reschedule your appointment. Your dog must be picked up within 30 minutes of completion of their grooming appointment. No show appointments will be charged $25.00. If you need to reschedule, we will be requiring a 24-hour notice so that we can reschedule your slot. Thank you for sticking to these rules. They are new for us too.
We appreciate your flexibility. We know that most of your dogs REALLY need to come in for haircuts, nail trims, etc, and we know how important grooming is for your dog’s health and well being. This may take us a while to sort out, but we will do our best to make sure everyone’s needs are met. WE also feel like matted, scraggly haired dogs who need to get straightened out on this scheduling thing.
