Prepared Puppy Day Program
For Puppies Ages 8–24 Weeks
Give your puppy the best possible start in life with our Puppy Board & Train Day Program — a nurturing, science-based experience designed specifically for the most critical developmental window in your dog’s life. Your puppy will spend the day in the hands of a certified professional trainer, soaking up essential life skills, positive social experiences, and the kind of calm, confident foundation that sets them up for a lifetime of good behavior.
What Is It?
Our day program welcomes your puppy for structured, enriching morning sessions where learning happens naturally and joyfully. Rather than formal obedience drills, our approach mirrors the way puppies learn best — through play, exploration, repetition, and reward. Every moment of the day is an opportunity to shape a puppy who is confident, curious, and cooperative.
What Your Puppy Will Experience
Positive Reinforcement Training All training is reward-based, using treats, praise, and play to encourage the behaviors you want to see at home. We never use punishment, intimidation, or fear — only encouragement and consistency. Your puppy will begin learning foundational cues like sit, down, come, being in a crate, and loose-leash walking in a way that makes them want to engage and learn.
Life Skills for the Real World We expose puppies to the everyday sights, sounds, surfaces, and situations they’ll encounter throughout their lives — from different flooring textures and household noises to car rides, crates, and being comfortable alone. These early experiences build resilience and reduce the likelihood of fear and anxiety developing later on.
Socialization Carefully supervised socialization is one of the greatest gifts you can give a young puppy. We facilitate safe, positive interactions with people of different appearances and ages, as well as appropriate puppy-to-puppy play when suitable. Every interaction is monitored to ensure your puppy feels safe and builds positive associations — never overwhelmed or frightened.
Cooperative Care We introduce your puppy to gentle handling exercises that prepare them for grooming, veterinary visits, and everyday care. Through a cooperative care approach, puppies learn to tolerate and even enjoy nail filing, ear checks, paw handling, and restraint — because they’re taught that these experiences predict good things, not stress.
Why a Certified Trainer?
Your puppy’s early weeks are irreplaceable. Our program is led by a certified professional trainer with specialized knowledge in canine behavior and development. You can trust that every interaction your puppy has throughout the day is intentional, appropriate, and rooted in current behavioral science.
What You Take Home
At the end of each session, you’ll receive a detailed update and videos of what your puppy worked on, how they responded, and simple exercises to practice at home so the learning continues. We believe the best outcomes happen when trainers and families work as a team. At the end of each week, you will get a 20 minute session with your dog’s trainer to understand the pieces that you will be working on and how to build success at home.
